Eighteen years of corporate experience in sales and sales management taught John the value of attentive, creative, solutions-based service for customers and clients. He founded Gordon James in 2005 after an informal poll of 100 custom homeowners in the Maple Plain area revealed that most had been disappointed in the quality of service and attention they received from their contractors. The son of a contractor himself, John grew up with a deep respect for and understanding of the industry. Combining his love for construction with his business acumen and deep respect for customer service, he set out to create a better custom home building experience.

John’s happy place is spending time at the cabin with his wife and children.
